Natural
prostaglandin,
a chemical produced by body reduces intraocular pressure (IOP) in the eye and also
increase the growth of eyelashes. Generic Latisse, a synthetic drug made by man
is the substitute of natural prostaglandin. It reduces the IOP by
facilitating the outflow of aqueous humor from the eye of individuals suffering
from narrow angle glaucoma. Due to blockage by the iris the excessive humor or
fluid accumulated in the eye may damage optic nerve and gradually result in
visual loss. Generic latisse helps in removing the blockage but this is not a
permanent solution. It also increases the growth of eyelash hair significantly.
Generic
latisse was approved by Food & Drug Administration (FDA) in December 2008.
Application process
One drop of Generic
Latisse 0.03% is gently applied
with the help of applicator evenly along the skin of the upper eyelid every
evening. This fetches good result within few weeks and you can see phenomenal
growth in your eyelash hair.
For reducing IOP one drop of Generic Latisse 0.03%
in the affected eye daily in the evening is sufficient. Frequency in excess can
reduce the effect of the medicine. Right administration of the drug shows
results in approximately 8 to 12 hours.
Safety measures to be taken
1. Generic Latisse Online should
be taken at least five minutes before or after other eye medicines.
2. Use of generic latisse for eyelash growth may increase or decrease the effect of prostaglandin-like drugs
for treatment of IOP
3. Generic latisse contains
a chemical that may be absorbed by contact lenses. Therefore it is recommended
to insert lenses 15 to 20 minutes after the application of generic latisse.
4. Generic Latisse can
cause pigment changes in tissues of eye lashes which will persist as long as
the medication is administered. But the same will reverse once the mediation is
discontinued.
